Guide of Good Practices (INITIATIVE FOR DEMOCRATIC AND PEACEFUL ELECTIONS IN SIERRA LEONE)

Dear Reader,

I am glad to introduce to you the guide of good practices, related to the project Initiative for Democratic and Peaceful Elections in Sierra Leone. This guide was drafted in order to share our journey, experience, and lessons, related to the project, with different stakeholder, but mostly, to be used as a tool and inspiration for other similar initiatives.

In this publication, our initiative is explained in details, with special focus on results and methodology. I would like to especially draw your attention to the main method used in this project, the Rondine Method. It is this method that makes the initiative different and of special impact. Moreover, Rondine Method has been selected by the Italian Government as a good practice on conflict transformation, and will be presented at the United Nations, the 10 th of December 2018, on the occasion of the 70 th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, together with the results of the project: Initiative for Democratic and Peaceful Elections in Sierra Leone.

Furthermore, by the end of the document, we introduce the main partners and collaborators for the project. This, in order to open way to possible future collaborations and partnerships, for organizations and institutions interested to work in the field of conflict transformation. But not only, here you can find details and links to the outputs of the project, which we believe might be useful tools for any future initiative.

Wishing you a pleasant exploration of our mission in Sierra Leone, we hope to hear from you regarding your impressions and thoughts about the project.
